With Christmas right around the corner, most of us haven’t figured out which lipstick to wear to match our holiday outfit or which eye look to go for: smoky or classic? With so many events, it’s easy to start lacking creativity when it comes to makeup. So while you are busy getting those last finishing touches ready for Christmas, we are here to to make it a little easier when it comes to deciding on your look. Prepare your brushes ladies! Here are some holiday makeup looks to help you get ready for the holidays.

Look 1

First, if you are looking for a powerful and fierce look, I would suggest going for darker shades like burgundy, plum or dark taupe for your eyeshadows and lip colour. Add some fake lashes to complete the look and really make your eyes pop. Don’t be scared to play around with different textures of lipstick! Try a matte, satin, gloss or even a velvety finish to intensify the look.

For the girls that like a simpler look but want to add slight touch of colour, opt for a neutral makeup look and using shades such as ivory, taupe or light pink. Nude colours are great to add to your makeup palette. By choosing light colours, your face looks as natural as possible and leaves you looking effortless.

Look 3

And how about that smoky eye? Frankly, there are no fixed colours associated with the smoky eye. However, by choosing stronger, darker colours, your look becomes that much more glamorous compared to using lighter colours. If you would rather not mix colours, just use different shades of the same colour. Don’t shy away from using satin, metallic or event glitter in order to create this look.

Look 4

Last but definitely not least, the classic look: Marilyn Monroe red lips with cat eye liner can do no wrong. For the eyeshadow, it’s better to stick with basic colours like golden beige, chocolate brown or grey-taupe in order to achieve a more traditional look. Avoid highly pigmented colours to keep the focus on the star of the show: the lips.
